Alongside its newest mirrorless camera, Nikon has today unveiled the Nikon L610, which takes much of the feature set of the existing Coolpix S8200, and places it in a larger, curvier, but more affordable body that accepts AA batteries.

Like the S8200, the Nikon Coolpix L610 is based around a sixteen megapixel, backside-illuminated CMOS image sensor, and offers sensitivities ranging from ISO 100 to 3,200 equivalents. It also shares the S8200's powerful, Nikkor ED-branded, image stabilized 14x optical zoom lens.
